A magazine journalist who no longer celebrates Christmas visits the quaint town of Mistletoe to blog about an inspirational - albeit questionably delusional - man who parades around pretending to be the real Santa Claus.
On the night before Christmas, a serial killer dressed in a Santa Claus suit stalks the streets of New York looking for blood. It seems this madman is building the perfect Christmas tree and adorning it with parts of his victims. It's up to an actor, his police officer girlfriend and a vodoo woman to stop him.
The romantic comedy follows a misogynistic children's book author who is forced to work closely with a female illustrator instead of his long-time collaborator and only friend.
