This Christmas, Julia (Cory Lee) has one wish: to finally finish writing a cookbook. In order to do so, she decides to venture over to a small town whose bakery is famous for its gingerbread. She unexpectedly ruffles feathers when she meets the chef who created the recipe (Yannick Bisson) and he's not too thrilled to see someone try to take his creation.
The Winnipeg Comedy Festival was created in 2002 by comedian Lara Rae and CBC Radio producer Tom Anniko, who pitched the idea of a weekend-long comedy festival that could be recorded and aired on CBC Radio.
Juliet pitches Christmas candles to her boss to earn a promotion and enlists the help of Tom, a candle store owner. He refuses at first but agrees when he realizes the money will help make his daughter's Christmas wish come true.
