Mi amigo el vagabundo (1984)
Nazario is an old homeless man who sings and plays the guitar through the streets and the Madrid subway, for his livelihood and that of Sergio, an eight-year-old orphan boy, whom he took in for charity and whom he loves very much. One day a wealthy couple comes across them, takes a fancy to the child and asks Nazario if there is a chance to adopt him. After much thought, Nazario sacrifices himself and agrees to the family's request. The boy does not have the economic hardships he had before, but he is not happy in his new home since he misses the freedom of the street and Nazario's affection. One day a gang of criminals kidnaps Sergio to demand a ransom for his release. Nazario found out about this, although he was initially suspected, he bravely intervenes in the rescue of him, being seriously injured. After his release, Sergio's adoptive family offers Nazario a job as a butler so that he can live comfortably and be in contact with the child.
