Granville gets more than he bargained for with a cheap Christmas tree. Later, the shopkeeper holds a cozy drinks party where he and Gastric try to get Madge into the festive spirit.
Granville and Gastric find themselves acting as marriage guidance counsellors. Leroy adopts a festive disguise to avoid relationship trouble of a different kind. Mrs Featherstone struggles to find the Christmas spirit.
It's Christmas and everyone seems to have plans to leave town. This could leave Granville at the mercy of Mrs Featherstone. He must persuade everyone not to travel and to buy his wonky Christmas crackers.
As a little girl is daydreaming out the window, her wicked father comes home. It's Christmas Eve. She tells her father that she was thinking about her Grandmother and of how nice Christmas was when she was alive. The father, angry and bitter, tells the girl that she must be out early to sell the matches or she can think about a beating. He tells her she needs to keep her mind on selling the matches and that she cannot come home until every one of them is sold. Then he laments about how, since her momma died, she is more than pain and trouble and is always in the way.
Unwrap Christmas cheer with Thomas and Friends. Percy delivers Santa's Christmas letters while Marion discovers a talking Christmas tree. Glynn the coffeepot engine gets restored for the holidays and races against Stephen. Annie and Clarabel learn that two wrongs don't make a right, while Donald and Douglas have double trouble. Have a holly, jolly Christmas with Thomas and his friends.
