In 1941, as part of an effort to remain strictly neutral, the Dublin government made a deal with both Berlin and London whereby any soldier, sailor or pilot captured on Irish soil, whether of German or Allied forces, would be interned for the duration of the war. What the Irish failed to tell was that they would intern everybody in the same camp. It is here that Canadian pilot Miles Keogh and German pilot Rudolph Von Stegenbeck meet after a fight in which both their planes were downed. Outside the camp, both fall in love with the same woman, an independent Irishwoman who refuses to take sides in their private little war.
This romantic comedy presents a story of two women, twenty-year-old Laura (Zuzana Kanócz), an editor at a woman's weekly, and her widowed mother, a translator-interpreter named Jana (Simona Stasová). The two of them tirelessly seek Mr. Right. Having once lived through an intense relationship with a 'typical' Czech man, Jana intentionally avoids Czech men. After several unsuccessful attempts, Laura falls in love with Oliver (Marek Vasut), a forty year old who works as an ad agency idea man. Little does she suspect that twenty years ago Oliver was Jana's true love.
Continuation of the series about the emergency medical service which was highly popular in the 1980s, featuring some of the original characters - for instance doctor Jandera, his great love Eliska, and brother Jarda with his girlfriend Alzbeta.
Mélodie, a production assistant hounded by a tyrannical boss, is tasked with hunting down pianist Michaël Grimaud, who fell off the radar ten years ago. If the young widowed mother can find Michaël and convince him to perform at a special concert, she may get a raise. But she has just three days to do it. She tracks Michaël to his hometown in the Austrian Alps, where he's still playing the piano, but only at the local tavern, and has completely given up classical music. Mélodie will have to muster tremendous patience and creativity to win over the artist and get him to climb back on the performance stage. And when an irresistible attraction blossoms between the two broken hearts - things get even more complicated.
