But he dies from a sudden heart attack in which Halligan makes a deal with the Archangel of Heaven to return to Earth for a week until Christmas and show his grandson the seasonal glories of New York City.

Tucker's grandmother visits the Wennick household for Christmas. Claire's and Jeannie's mother, the only woman on Earth more critical than Claire, visits the Wennick household for Christmas, and makes no secret of the fact that Claire is her least favorite relative.
