After a children's choir sings "Silent Night," Martin Short hosts, singing as the walks through the set (cameos abound), then playing Tony Bennett's brother on a Christmas show, Buckingham Palace's protocol chief coaching Kate Middleton's OB/GYN, Larry David in a star-studded revival of "You're a Rat Bastard, Charlie Brown," running into a high school friend at a hardware store, and a tightly-wound amateur singer auditioning with a put-upon triangle player. Paul McCartney performs "Cut Me Some Slack" with Nirvana and "Wonderful Christmas Time" with the children's chorus. "What's Up With That" ignores Samuel L. Jackson and Carrie Brownstein.
