Me and Luke is a family story about a young father and his newborn son. Matt, who is nineteen, goes to the hospital to see his baby. At the hospital, he discovers, his young girlfriend has already made arrangements for a couple to the adopt their baby boy. Matt has no family and when he sees Luke for the first time, like fathers everywhere, he falls in love with him. He finally has made the connection he's longed for. With the adoption imminent and no means to stop it - Matt takes Luke out of the hospital to his grandmother's house. The three form an off-kilter family unit. But can Matt and Luke win against the odds and stay together as a family...?

Margaret Reed, a wealthy and proud woman of Chicago unwillingly finds herself a member of the Donner party - a group of pioneers making their way to California by covered wagon in the summer of 1846. One by one the odds begin to stack against Margaret and her family as precious days slip away and an early winter storm closes the passes through the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Trapped without adequate food and supplies, Margaret struggles to keep her family alive.
It's 1958 and Russell Keys has long since left his family. During one of his abductions, however, he see his 12-year-old son Jesse has also been abducted. Keys has been trying to find a pattern to his abductions in the hope of avoiding being taken. So he returns to his home in Illinois and convinces his son to run away with him. His ex-wife Kate, who is re-married to Sheriff Bill Walker, is frantic particularly when Russell returns but Jesse does not. Owen Crawford is now a Lieutenant Colonel and in charge of the program resulting from the Roswell crash. Very little has been accomplished in the last 11 years so he fires the entire team and decides on a new tack. In Texas, Sally Clarke's son Jacob is now 10 years old and clearly has special powers. His half-brother and sister want to send him away to a boarding school to protect him but Sally is completely against the idea. She reconsiders after getting an unexpected visit from Crawford who tries to dupe her.
