Pilar and JPilar and Juan are a happy married couple with very few resources. One day they decide to play the Christmas Lottery. But Pilar purchases tickets behind her husband's back for a raffle of a lamb, which eventually she ends up winning. Their children are delighted with the new animal, although Juan, disappointed, complains about money.Then they decide to serve the lamb for Christmas dinner, which seems impossible because the children are fond of the animal and no one is able to kill him. The same Christmas Eve someone steals the lamb and, distressed at the loss of the animal (who they already loved as a member of the family) begin to look desperately to get their new pet, living an incredible odyssey in the meantime.
In a small Spanish town, a group of old ladies decides to celebrate Christmas Eve with a "seat a poor man at your table" dinner: each wealthy household of the town will have a homeless person dining with them that night. The celebrations also include a parade, and in its midst is Plácido, the humble owner of a three-wheeler, whose family is forced to live in a public lavatory because they lack the money to pay rent, and who must pay the second bill on his vehicle before midnight or else he will lose it.
A happily married woman is distinguished by her ability to lie constantly. Her husband reproaches her that she is unoccupied, and that is where her liking for lies comes from. One night, the maid opens the door to her boyfriend who, together with a partner, intends to raid the house.
At the Santo Tomás de Aquino school, a musical contest has been organized. The first prize is a trip to Disneyland and the second, a large sum of money. A group of singing children called Parchís win the trip, but they decide to donate their prize in exchange for the money and thus help Don Mati and his beloved school. However, since they also want to make the fantastic trip, they will manage to get enough money for both.
