Christmas with Flicka is a 58-minute television concert film starring Frederica von Stade, Melba Moore, Rex Smith and Julius Rudel. It is an American-Austrian co-production, shot on location in Austria in 1987. The movie begins with von Stade arriving at the village's quayside on the ferry-boat Österreich (with the Christmas melodies "À Bethléem allons vite" and "On annonce une nouvelle"). She is met by a small, rapt girl and a smaller, less rapt boy, who take her to the home that she will be sharing with them.

The Hollywood Palace (1964-1970) was a weekly variety show on ABC staged at the former Hollywood Playhouse. The show's specialty became transforming the set via pieces splitting apart or flying in. This transition broke the normal scheduled commercial breaks. The unique design, revolving guest hosts and singers/comedians kept the show alive until 1970. In this Bing Crosby Christmas Special, Bing and Kathryn Crosby, with their children Harry, Mary Francis and Nathaniel host Christmas themed acts with stars Cyd Charisse, Bob Newhart, The Cuban Cossacks, Roy Fitzell and trained dog act Excess baggage.
Larger than life hip hop diva, Leesa J, rekindles an old friendship over Christmas and her walk down memory lane forces her to reexamine her life, her habits and the real reason for the dislike for the holiday that she once loved so dearly.
The separation of church and state is examined when a Christmas Nativity scene, being displayed at a high school, sparks debate and protest from the student body.
