A few weeks in the life of the family of an attractive woman, the TV presenter Magda, her second husband and her teenage son. Magda is a lively, energetic woman, not for nothing is she called "the boss" at home. Apart from her profession, she also handles other problems brilliantly. Her dream is to finally move from her small apartment to her self-built villa by the river and to make it by Christmas Eve. But everything is unpredictable and sometimes life finds its own ways. Whether it's a chance meeting with an interesting man, a doctor, or a son's coming of age, his first love and his struggle to break free from the loving but somewhat tight grip of his mother's care.
The story of Zdena (M. Fišerová) and Maria (V. Galatíková) in the two-part television play by Markéta Zinnerová is about finding the complex relationship between daughter-in-law and mother-in-law.
The main character of the film is 14 year old Viktorka (Anna Kaderávková). A typical teenager influenced by mass pop culture. Her way of thinking and acting are mainly determined by mimicking models from the adult world inhabited by celebrities. Viktorka is brought up in such an environment by her single mother. Not surprisingly, she finds substitutes of real life and real relationships in the virtual reality of social networks. A turn in her life happens after the death of her mother, a successful businesswoman. Vicky involuntarily moves to her biological father (Pavel Reznícek), away from a big city that offered her practically everything that came across her mind. Her adaptation to a new surrounding and a "new" father brings comical situations that arise from a collision of worlds that seem too far apart to merge.
