It depicts much of the life and values of Buenos Aires's high and middle high class at the end of the 1950s, which were a mix between the acceptance of progressive social changes during and after Peron's era (feminism, female vote, divorce, leftist claims, etc.) and some conservative attitudes (reinforced after the military coupe which ousted Perón). Also, it is in the midway between the "golden era of Argentine classic cinema" of the 40s and 50s (with a strong focus on romantic stories of high class divas) and the "new Argentine cinema of the 60s" (focusing in problems of "real-life people", including the poor and marginals).
Nino and Bruno are two comedians who reach the heights of success with their duo act, turning them into huge TV celebrities. However, the hate between them grows as fast, and as much, as their fame.
