At the station, the man confesses that he is an escaped prisoner who, upon learning he has less than a year to live became determined to spend Christmas with his wife and children. He promises to turn himself in on December 26, but three bounty hunters are determined to collect the reward for his capture before then.

Christmas is approaching, and Arnie and his wife are planning their usual Christmas gift to everyone they know -- a batch of homemade cookies. Because Mr. Majors promoted him to the executive suite, Arnie plans to reward him with a double batch. But he is soon chagrined to learn that it's traditional for the executives to give a more personal -- and expensive -- gift to the company president.
