Believing that Alice is pregnant, Ralph takes a job as a sidewalk Santa, with Norton as his helper, in order to earn extra money. But they are unaware of the fact that their new bosses are bookies who are using Ralph and Norton as a front to receive their betting slips.

Ralph agrees to produce, direct and star in his boss, Mr. Marshall's wife's annual fundraising Christmas benefit show, "A Christmas Carol". Problems arise when Ralph realizes he has promised to take Alice to Miami the same weekend as the show. Hilarity ensues when Ralph rewrites the Dickens classic and with Norton directing it is bound to be a hit. When the show is a hit, all is forgiven.
Paul Reiser hosts this, the 2nd of 3 Disney Channel specials. This special is from Jackie Gleason's "Cavalcade Of Stars".
"Christmas Party" (12/21/1951): It's Christmas Eve. Alice is decorating the tree and setting out holiday refreshments. Alice sends Ralph out for potato salad & while gone, Gleason pops in as is famous characters: Fenwick Babbitt, Joe the Bartender, The Poor Soul, Rudy the Repairman & Reggie Van Gleason III. Guests include: Jane Pickens, Cardenis The Juggler and the June Taylor Dancers.

As Christmas approaches, Ralph Kramden's latest get-rich scheme risks his and Alice's life savings -- and trusting pal Ed Norton's holiday bonus -- on the lottery. The gamble also places Alice's mother's Social Security check in jeopardy.
